Behind the diagnostic

Based on how organisations really work

The experience shaping the design of ReWireWorks comes from a career spent inside organisations, leading functions under pressure and governing them from the board. That dual vantage, operator and governor, across three very different markets, is what taught the founder, Kavita Khanna to read what a business's numbers or visible problems do not reveal. The methodology she used to gain those insights is what ReWireWorks now makes available as a diagnostic.

The experience backing the work

Kavita Khanna has spent more than 25 years working inside organisations across New Zealand, Australia, and India. Not observing or advising them from the outside, but from within executive teams and on governance boards, in medium to large and multinational businesses spanning employee-owned, corporate, and public sector structures.

The common thread across that range has been people-intensive, services-based industries: IT, telecommunications, infrastructure, architecture, professional services, construction, not-for-profit, and membership associations. That range, across sectors and structures, taught her to read organisations for what's actually happening underneath, regardless of industry, ownership model, or stage.

That pattern-recognition of the operating conditions — how decisions get made, how trust holds or breaks, how effort gets absorbed instead of converted into results, tested over time, across dozens of very different systems, is what became ReWireWorks.

What ReWireWorks looks for Ask a question first

In her own words — the 3.00 am dilemma every leader wakes to

As a leader, you would be more than familiar with the pull between surviving and growing at the same time. You know the exhaustion of that balancing act. You also know the frustrations of playing whack-a-mole with problems that seem to resurface despite trying different interventions.

You get told, your business needs to mature. You apply the best models, import best standards, and instead of the magic fix to your business, they strip out the very things that made it good — your speed, your relational knowledge, your willingness to move on limited information. Conventional wisdom might call those immature. They're an asset, and protecting them while you scale is a discipline of its own.

Uncovering what those assets are and where the real problems lurk beneath the surface — that is the work I have done with leaders: asking the questions that surface what's actually true for your business, not someone else's template.

Asking questions and seeing patterns comes naturally to me. People I work with tend to name the same things as my edge: an instinct for the right question — one that unlocks movement, a strategic mindset that connects governance, delivery, and long-term impact, and a calm presence that helps people think clearly in uncertainty.

That is what I bring with ReWireWorks: not another model to apply, but a way of seeing your business clearly enough to grow it on its own terms.
